The Culture Ladder

Culture is often seen as an intangible concept.  This culture ladder gives schools a framework for seeing the elements of their professional culture come together. The six culture levels are not linear, even though the visual is created in a ladder. The optimal level is Committed Collaboration, but the journey is never finished, nor a straight trajectory.

Sitting underneath this culture are the Three Pillars – Mindset, Environment and Dialogue which are unpacked in the third Key Concept video. These are the elements that create our culture.

The Buzz Diagnostic delves into these three pillars to give the overall Buzz Culture Score as seen by the people who work at the school, and their insights as to which level they experience. If you haven’t undertaken the diagnostic as yet, the option of having your whole school undertake it is available to you at any time during your membership. I suggest undertaking it once every year to see how your professional learning culture is progressing.
