Mandatory training for nominated First Aid Officers receiving an allowance.

Schools must use a department approved RTO to deliver first-aid training to staff. First aid training delivered by RTOs results in three mandatory training certifications:

HLTAID011 – Provide first aid ( three-year certification), automatically provides the following:
HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support, (three-year certification)
HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (one-year certification)
All three qualifications are ASQA recognised. ASQA determines the duration requirement for each certification.
